The Society waters are:

Many miles of the river Adur from the fence just above Stretham Bridge (below Henfield) upstream to the road bridge at Wineham. On the western arm of the river we fish from The Fork at Henfield right through to Lock Estate at Partridge Green. We have access to most sections, some both banks.

We also fish some of Chess Brook and the Honeybridge Stream which run into the Adur at Betley Bridge; and above Bines Bridge, respectively.

A lake at mannings heath (Forest Farm)

Two ponds called Batts Pond 'Henfield' and West Town Farm Pond nr Hurstpierpoint.

A lovely, well-established, large lake at St.George's, Ditchling Common, East Sussex. It contains most species of coarse fish including 20lb+ carp, bream, perch to over 3lb, roach, rudd and gudgeon. There is a convenient large carpark and a loo on site. It is in a very quiet, peaceful location.

Exchange Permits:

We have an exchange permit scheme with quite a few clubs as follows:

Pulborough, Haywards Heath, Tonbridge, Billingshurst, Slaugham, Worthing, Horsham, Rudgwick, Crawley A.S.

The exchange permits are held by Scottie's Tackle and Alan Bridgewater at Henfield, 01273 494389, please call to enquire about using an exchange permit

Clubs have different start and finish dates for their season, If you fancy using a particular exchange permit contact Alan to check that we have their current year permit.

Access to Sakeham Farm is through Sake Ride Lane off the B2116 Wheatsheaf Road, north of Henfield.

As you drive down Sake Ride Lane follow the signs via a right turn to Sakeham Farm.  Do not drive through Fieldlands Farm.  At all times be aware of free range cattle & horses.

On arriving at the farm you will see that there is a residential srea comprising of at least 9 dwellings, turn right and drive past a large green barn to the river.

Follow the country code and leave all gates as you find them.

Parking: at all times display your club parking disc (found on the inside back page of your membership book)

There is parking for about 5 cars in a compound close to the river, look for club sign on the fence.  When this area is full you may park apposite and adjacent to the green barn, but NOT in the residential area.

When parking leave space for large agricultural vehicles and trailers to pass.

The boundary, downstream, is the concrete weir & EA metering station, upstream, is the EA`s automatic dam & footbridge.

The parking area is approx half way between the boundary's.

This gives us continuious fishing from Mockbridge through to Wineham Bridge.

Stretham Manor Farm:

Access to parking (see map) is via a locked gate, which is electronically controlled. Access is restricted to between 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday. Use the keypads on the metal posts situated 10 yds either side of the gate. To enter press the 3rd button down marked "Deliveries". To exit press the single button below the keypad. Outside these hours, weekends and bank holidays fishing is available 08:00 to 22:00 - please ring 07467 125 246 to be let in and out again, remotely. Otherwise you will have to stay overnight. Park at the side of the disused railway line and do not obstruct the bridge or the Downs Link. The number for the combination lock on the gate to the Downs Link is at the front of this handbook.
